Our Design Approach

At Airborne Group, our Master planners with global exposure of working on projects, put a lot of focus on creating a robust Vision at the start of each project. The Vision then translates into Concept Masterplan Options where we address all the core objectives set out as part of the Vision. Based on our interactions with the Client and other key stakeholders we narrow down on a preferred Masterplan which further gets developed into detailed design in phases set out as part of the masterplan. While each project is unique and demands site specific design approach a general approach derived from global best practices is listed below for reference:

MASTER PLANNING STAGE

Stage A: Pre - Concept 

This stage is primarily done to validate the H&B/Feasibility Study. The pre concept masterplan is generally done in 2D. It provides clarity on development framework.

Stage B: Concept

Concept Design is done at a stage where the design brief is confirmed, and client agrees to deliver the project on site. Concept at this stage is done in 3D professional renders. 


BUILDING DESIGN STAGE

Stage C: Schematic

This stage includes more details on building design, landscape, infrastructure, engineering components and addresses approval requirements. We recommend BIM at this stage.

Stage D: Detailed Design

This stage is to finalize on all the approval drawings and detail all the design and engineering components including costing. BIM is very effective for this stage.

Stage E: GFC + Tender

Shop drawings for delivery on site backed by a tender document to procure a contractor who would be suitable for delivering the assignment. BIM is essential at this stage.
